Marine Coordinator
Following complex productions in challenging locations, Ian specialized in water-based work and became one of the few full-time marine coordinators in South America. He is a PADI certified diver and holds a Master Skipper certification from the Brazilian Navy, and works in this role alongside line producers or independently.
From pre-production to set: nautical operations, risk assessment, vessels and tanks, preparing the cast for water work, and coordinating the aquatic department, whether in open sea, rivers, lakes, or tanks. Among other projects, he worked on "The Shipwreck of Justice: Bateau Mouche" (HBO), "100 Days" (Disney+), and "Ben-Hur" (Disney+).
The equipment comes from CineNautic, of which he is a partner, the exclusive representative in Brazil and South America of Hydroflex, the legendary American manufacturer of waterproof housings and underwater lighting. Hydroflex has two Academy Award-winning technical awards and credits such as "Titanic," "The Abyss," "Saving Private Ryan," and "Mission: Impossible."
